We Built This City
June 14 @ 8:00 am - July 7 @ 5:00 pm
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall Uprising, We Built This City has curated a month-long exhibition on Carnaby Street entitled ‘Creative Pride: Loud. Proud. Now’, showcasing and selling work from 12 of the most influential creatives from Queer community here in the UK.
The event includes an exhibition, shop and workshop series on Carnaby Street to showcase the creative talent of the LGBTQI+ community and raise money for Opening Doors London.
Partnering with the official Pride in London festival all intersections of the community are coming together to celebrate what it means to be queer today through illustration, ceramics, literature, photography and more. With a programme of events led by the artists themselves, members of the public can attend workshops, live art events and talks throughout Pride season to celebrate the LGBTQI+ community of the past, present and future!
We Built This City will be donating 10% of any sales made from the Creative Pride event to Opening Doors London – the biggest charity providing information and support services specifically for older Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people in the UK.
